A Little "Bit" of Irish Basketball History: Our Treasure Hunt List

Although we are always interested in anything that helps document the History of Irish Basketball, there are certain items (listed below) we are especially interested in. If you have any of these mementos or artifacts and you can take a picture of them, please share those treasures ( see the U2 Can Help page).

If you know someone that has old Pictures, Scrapbooks, Magazines or Collections maybe they will share those Treasures.

We appreciate any help you can provide.

Still missing most of the Tournament Programmes (you can see what we have in the Tournament Program Page (Click Here) The cover is most important but if you have the entire program with the tournament details (such as team rosters and pool info ) that is a bonus.

Tournament Programmes ( Most Wanted List)

Billy Kelly U17 Tournament - We only have 2 years (1984 - 1985 ) out of more than 40 !
Major Extra Size (Blue Demons) 1973 and 1974
Roy Curtis (Corinthians) 1965 thru 1970, 1973 and 1986 thru 1996.
Glen Abbey (St Vincent's) missing all years except 1969, 1973, 1974 ( most wanted are 1975 and 1976 programmes with NY Hawks info)
Lota Tournament (Neptune) missing all years except 1966, 1971 and 1974. Missing team rosters for all years except 1974.
National Cup Programmes - We have very few so any year would help. (Both Men and Women's Tournaments)

1960s Irish Basketball Magazine - mentioned in an article in the Evening Echo ... never saw anything on this before - a picture of a magazine cover would be great or even identifying the name of the magazine would help.

Basketball Ireland Magazine - This iconic magazine started in 1980 and with the help of numerous Irish Basketball fans, we have made some great progress in gathering pictures of a good number of the magazine covers up thru 2000 but very few after that date.
